CBTS, Inc. was incorporated on April 1, 1991 and has been licensed by the State of Utah Department of Human Services Division of Juvenile Justice Services since that time. We have been licensed with the Division of Child and Family Services since July 1, 1993. We provide individual residential care (proctor care), intensive supervision, individual and family and group therapy.
CBTS, Inc. feels inherent advantages are derived from keeping youth connected to their communities and targeting sanctions and services to meet their specific treatment needs. CBTS, Inc. treatment interventions are multifaceted and occur in multiple settings.
CBTS, Inc. believes some of the values of working with youth are:
- Strengths based interventions
- Supervised, supportive, stable and safe living environments
- Assist youth in changing behaviors that interfere with success at home, school, and community
- Positive change by reinforcing the youth’s strengths and recognizing their efforts
- Consequences for negative behavior should be natural, immediate, specific, brief, and delivered in a supportive manner
- Assist youth in finding positive peers and help him/her develop new skills including recreational hobbies and interests
